Artist Statement
Multidisciplinary artist based in Bogotá, whose work primarily spans painting, illustration, and ceramics. Her practice explores the convergence of quotidian life and the oneiric, incorporating elements of abstraction that invite the viewer to inhabit a universe in which the mundane transforms into something strange and evocative.
Through fragmented and assembled forms, she develops a visual language centered on materiality, the body, and identity. Her works combine media such as ceramics, drawing, and textiles, resulting in tactile and organic surfaces that oscillate between the delicate and the surreal. Through an abstracted figuration, she constructs pieces that suggest states of vulnerability, transformation, and tension between the public and the private spheres.
In a context marked by mass production and digital overload, work seeks to celebrate and embrace the slow, meditative process of art-making and preserve the disappearing traditions of manual craftsmanship.
